Premium inverter generators are the silent type machines that provide a steady flow of electricity for your appliances and tools. Among the models in this category is the EF1000iS. It provides 1000 watts through a 12V DC output, enough to recharge the batteries of your RV, SUV, or boat; while purring at a sound rating of 47dBA. This is well below the average sound of a normal conversation between two men.
At the other end of the spectrum is the more powerful EF6300iSDE. This 6300 watt machine can power up your refrigerator, video/audio system, microwave, and computer. You can also use it to operate your power tools. Notwithstanding this level of output, it still has a sound rating of from 58 to 64 dBA. At only 200 pounds with wheels, it is easy to take this generator to where you need it.
The EF2600 and EF12000DE are among those classified as premium consumer generators. This lightweight, at 90 pounds, packs a punch of 2600 watts. This is enough to supply electricity to most appliances, and it can do this continuously for 11 hours with only a single filling of its 3.2 galloon gas tank. Its sound level, however, is higher than its inverter-equipped siblings at 67 dBA. Still, this is only slightly higher than the 65 dBA of human conversations.
The largest and most powerful Yamaha portable generator is the EF12000DE. It generates 12000 watts which are delivered to your appliances and tools via either a 120 or 240 volt output. It is equipped with an Automatic Voltage Regulation device that assures a smooth and steady flow of power. Owing to its power, a large super quiet muffler is installed to help suppress its noise.
Industrial generators are meant to be used at work. These are therefore designed to be sturdier and more fuel-efficient than the machines for consumers who may use them only occasionally. Among Yamaha's industrial generators is the YG4000D. Its four-stroke engine can provide 4000 watts AC output and can continuously operate for 8.5 hours with just one tank of fuel. It also has a dual output of 120 and 240 volts. Its large and super quiet muffler helps dampen the noise from it.
A bigger version of its industrial generators is the YG6600DE. While this bigger machine may be a little difficult to carry around, it has an optional wheel kit that would solve the issue of portability. Its 6600-watt output can supply electric power to several power tools at the same time, but when there is no demand for power, it automatically lowers its idle engine speed, thus promoting fuel economy.
